As an entrepreneur, there will be days when you feel like you’re carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. Your journey will be filled with ups, downs, obstacles, and unexpected turns. Sometimes, those lows seem to outweigh the highs, and that’s exactly what happened to me.
Let me tell you a story.
One year, business was booming, and I was riding high on success. Everything went well for the first three quarters, but then the fourth quarter hit, and things changed. I didn’t meet my income goals; I had to let go of my operations manager, which meant more work fell directly on me. On top of that, someone broke into one of the company vehicles at Express Errands & Courier. They tried to steal it, tore up the ignition, and left the car completely damaged. That setback cost us several days of work and could’ve cost us a client.
But you know what saved me? I had a Plan B. We had a backup vehicle, and the work got done.
Not every day is going to be sunshine and smooth sailing. Some mornings, you’ll wake up ready to conquer the world, and by the time you get to the office, it feels like life has knocked the wind out of you. As they say, “Life be life-in.” But here’s the thing—those hard days and challenges are shaping you into your future self.
Your billion-dollar self.
I know it gets tough, and the temptation to quit is real, but quitting isn’t an option. You’ve come too far, and failure isn’t part of the plan. No matter how many curveballs get thrown your way, your mindset determines the outcome. When the car was damaged, we had insurance. It was frustrating, but I didn’t let it throw me off course. We handled it and kept moving forward.
So when the weight of the world hits you hard, I want you to pause, close your eyes, and visualize your desired end result. Think about where your business will be next year, five years, or ten years from now.
Picture your future success. See your growing bank account, satisfied clients, and thriving company.
That’s what you do when life hits you hard. You keep pushing forward.
To your success,
Coach Roslyn
